The Music of Erich Zann was one of the first short stories I read by HP Lovecraft. It was a book I came across and checked out at the local library in the early 80’s. I remember really every tale in the book but this one I loved because it really epitomizes Lovecraft’s ability to point you in a certain direction and let you continue the tale with your imagination.
I wrote this violin-heavy piece in honor of Herr Zann.
